Finally in Albuquerque

Hello everyone, we're finally home again, we came in monday night. I spent tuesday unpacking and shopping for groceries and odds and ins. Today is Thanksgiving and believe it or not I am cooking the turkey (it's pre-seasoned, just put in oven for 4 hrs), and I'm making all kinds of stuff! I'll take a pic of the table so you guys can see. Last night we went to church at Calvary and it was so nice to be at church. they had a prayer service, so in big Calvary we got in small groups of 4 or 5 and prayed, they broke up the prayers to A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication) It was neat, they had a worship song in between prayers and we prayed for the church and the city. Anyways, changing subject, we have 2 turkey dinners today, so I'm holding off on eatiing breakfast! We'll have my nephew Diego today, we'll celebrate his 1rst B-day today, his b-day was yesterday. Anyways, that's all for now. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Arkansas

So, nothing new to report, just been doing the rounds of visiting people with Aaron. The weather is much nicer now, it's in the mid/high 50s. so it's decent. Yesterday I went shopping with my sister in law, it was a lot of fun; we bought sweaters! they were having great sales, of course. That's it for now, tomorrow we'll have a big thanksgiving meal; I'll take a pic of the table of food, I'm sure it will be impressive. Until next time.

Joe, Stef and Holden

Bowling night

Last night we went bowling with Aaron's brother Joe, his wife Stef and his son (Holden). It was fun, I didn't do so good the first game, but when the bumpers went up for Holden, it seem to help me alot too :-) Aaron and I hadn't been bowling in years! you guys should now go bowling! it was a good time. :0)

men and guns, yikes!!!

first day in Arkansas

Our first day here has been a good one. We visited with his mom in the morning, then we got to go and pick up his nephew at school. Late in the afternoonwe went "shooting". Yeah, I shot for the first time a rifle, a "22". :0 His little brother (13) just got his first shotgun (to go deer hunting) and they were trying to get the sites right. or something like that. the other kids (aaron's nephews) gotto shoot a beebe gun and since one is 9 y.o. he did get to shot the 22. So, it was a little scary, but it was fun!

Driving from Virginia to Arkansas

So it took two days to drive from Virginia to Arkansas. We stopped the first night outside of Nashville, then drove in on the next day and we got here around 7pm. We hit some pretty bad storms on the way, tornado warnings were out and everything. The rain and wind was insane! it moved our trooper around like it was nothing. It was a bit scary for a little bit, then suddenly we were out of the storm and into blue skies, so oh well. :0 I'll write later about our first day in arkansa. Come back for more of the adventures of Aaron and Carolina. no, I ment to say, stay tune for more. :0)

Last days in D.C.

So my brother Jose came to visit us in the last weekend that we were in Virginia. We went into D.C., saw all the monuments, walked like crazy, (several miles); then walked some more in museums. It was so much fun! I got to try out my new camera, using different settings and so forth with Jose. So, it was a good last weekend.

Visiting the Holocaust Museum

today we went into D.C. to visit the Holocaust Museum. We actually had a friend go with us (Kenny) he's also a traveler in the ER. The museum was the best, most educating, saddest, and amazing museum I will ever visit. I learned so much, we spent hours in the museum and we had no idea! It is just so shocking to think that humans are capable of such cruelty and pure evil! (satan was behind this man)-(Hilter). It does reassure that truly God has a plan beyond what we can imagine! and only the hand of God put a stop to this! Watching the interviews of survivors of the camps was amazing! listening to their stories; it almost seems impossible; except it was all too real! I just can't get over the fact that this truly happened to human beings! children, elderly, youth, crippled it didn't matter. As we left the museum, outside was the most beautiful sunset. It was such a reassurance that God is in control!
